Ogun: Group Tells Gbenga Daniel, Amosun & Adeola Yayi’s Roles In Calming Hunger Protest

A.socio-political group has revealed the roles of Senators representing Ogun East, Gbenga Daniel and Ogun West , Solomon Olamilekan Adeola Famously known as Yayi as well as immediately past Senator from Ogun Central Ibikunle Amosun in trouble – shooting the Nationwide endbadgovernance protest in the state.

Gbenga Daniel and Ibikunle Amosun are former Governor of Ogun state with Adeola Yayi in good standing to become the next Governor.

The which disclosed their roles in keeping the state calm in the face of what has been informally dubbed “hunger protest” made the revelations in a narrative with the header “Egba Collective Commends Daniel, Yayi, and Amosun for Peaceful Resolution of Ogun Protests”.

The Egba Collective in Nigeria and Diaspora (ECONID), a socio-political group in Ogun State has praised Ogun state’s political leaders for ensuring sanity prevails in the midst of protests in some parts of the country. 

The group in a statement on Saturday signed by its Coordinator, Adegbenro Jubril acknowledged the efforts of leaders of the Southwest All Progressives Congress (APC), who were instrumental in preserving decorum and decency in the last three days.

“We salute the courage, patriotism, and loyalty of leaders of APC across the Southwest who stood firm with our president in the face of challenges. 

“Of noteworthy is the efforts put into ensuring calm and tranquillity in Ogun state by the trio of Senator Olamilekan Adeola aka Yayi, who wrote a calming public appeal to members of his district to continue to have faith in the president. 

“We also acknowledged the outreach efforts of former governor Gbenga Daniel, who has continued to hold several meetings with youth leaders, community development associations and artisans in his district to ensure they all see why our president deserves more time.

The group also praised former governor Ibikunle Amosun for reaching out to student leaders, farmers and transport workers to explain what the president is trying to achieve with his reforms. 

Adegbenro admonished leaders of the party across the North to follow the same direction to put an end to the ongoing protests so Nigerians can enjoy the coming benefits of the President Bola Ahmed Tinubu administration.
