Maina’s Son Faisal Joins Father In Becoming A Fugitive
Eniola Adeniyi
Just like his father, Faisal the son of the former chairman of the Pension Reform Tasks’ Team (PRTT) Abdulrasheed Maina appears to have jumped bail and automatically become a fugitive.
And the court has revoked his bail and issued a bench warrant for his arrest.
The court has also ordered his surety to appear before it on Wednesday, November 25, 2020 to show cause why he should not be arrested for failure to produce Faisal or forfeit the N60million bail bond he pledged should Faisal jump bail.
The surety is a federal lawmaker from Zamfara state.
Faisal is said to be on the run in the face of undergoing prosecution for mega fraud along with his father.
This development comes on the heels of the arrest and remand in prison custody of Senator Ali Ndume who stood surety for Faisal’s father Abdulrasheed Maina.
Maina has refused to abide by his bail conditions and appeared to have disappeared into thin air leaving Senator Ndume to carry his bag of trouble.
The court has, however, ruled that his trail continues in absentia.
