IGP Redeploys AIG Tunji Disu To head Force CID Annex, Alagbon
is a key investigative hub of the Nigeria Police Force
The Inspector-General of Police, IGP Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun, has approved the immediate redeployment of Assistant Inspector-General of Police (AIG) Olatunji Rilwan Disu to head the Force Criminal Investigation Department (CID) Annex, Alagbon, Lagos.
The posting, which takes effect immediately, was approved on Monday as part of ongoing efforts by the police high command to strengthen leadership, enhance operational efficiency and reposition critical formations for improved service delivery.
Before his redeployment, AIG Disu was in charge of the Special Fraud Unit (SFU), where he coordinated investigations into complex financial and economic crimes, earning commendations for professionalism and results-driven leadership.
AIG Disu, a seasoned officer with extensive policing experience, has held several strategic appointments across the country, including Commissioner of Police in charge of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Command and the Rivers State Command.
He was promoted to the rank of Assistant Inspector-General of Police on March 25, 2025, in recognition of his years of dedicated service and notable contributions to internal security and law enforcement in Nigeria.
The Force CID Annex, Alagbon, is a key investigative hub of the Nigeria Police Force, and AIG Disu’s redeployment is expected to further strengthen its capacity to tackle high-profile and complex criminal cases.
