Gbemi Saraki is the product of her most cherished inheritance.
Sources disclosed that the ministerial nominee inherited the very rich library of her late father Oloye Olusola Saraki.
She is said to have updated the library as part of her preoccupation with reading- especially on politics and governance.
And the learnings have kept her in good stead regarding foresight and deft political- and personal – moves, alignment and staying in tune with the “people” societynow.ng learned.
Oloye Saraki’s political family determined who becomes what in Kwara state until his Bukola Saraki overreached and frittered away the clout and influence associated with the legendary name in Kwara state.
Bukola Saraki who is the immediate past Senate President lost re-election and got a bloody nose in other elections, including the Gubernatorial contest that the Saraki’s never lost.
Gbemi, however, survived the purge by siding with the winning team.
She stayed a member of the ruling All Progressives Congress when Bukola Saraki defected to the People’s Democratic Party to become arrowhead of the opposition.
Gbemi also refused to contest for any post in the last general election.
The sacrifices have paid up as she looks set to be appointed Minister after a screening by the Senate.
