Friends Concerned About Jide Omokore As Talks Of Putting Prized Luxury Homes Abroad On Sale Douse Troubled Oil Baron
Friends who care about his image and well being are concerned about talks decorating the person of troubled oil baron in the throes of investigation by anti corruption agency – Jide Omokore.
The main man at Atlantic Concepts Drilling Limited and subject of interest of Economic and Financial Crimes Commission is currently doused with talks of putting his prized luxury homes abroad on sale.
According to those behind the spread of this gist
”Jide Omokore may have started pawning off his most expensive luxury property below market price. Jide Omokore
”… Omokore has put up his most prized luxury homes in the United States of America (USA) and South Africa for sale.
Rumour has it that he decided to sell off the property at a very ridiculous price in order to prevent it from been confiscated by US and SA law enforcement agencies.
”Jide, they said resorted to such extreme measure as the US government and other super powers collaborate with Nigerian president, Muhammadu Buhari’s administration in its drive to recoup state funds illicitly siphoned away and embezzled by the immediate past administration of Goodluck Jonathan and close business and political associates of the administration”
The move attributed to the embattled Oil baron is believed to have roots in latest antics of business partner, Kola Aluko.
Himself the subject of interest of anti corruption agency, according to reports Aluko just ”sold one of his homes in Los Angeles in the United States at a loss. Listed as one of the 10 most expensive luxury homes in Los Angeles in 2013, the house sitting on 0.7 acres at 730 Sarbornne Road, was sold by a limited-liability company with ties to the Nigerian oil magnate, reported Neal J. Leitereg for Los Angeles Times at the weekend. The sale deal was closed off-market, with Aluko pocketing $21.5 million, $2million less than what he paid less than three years ago.”
Both Aluko and Omokore are believed to have made their fortunes leveraging on strong ties with ex petrol minister Diezani Allison Madueke and masking business interests of people in government.
Omokore recently lost high value jewellery belonging to self and wife as a result of confistication by the EFCC in bid to recoup alleged stolen wealth.
Those behind talks of selling homes abroad insist it is a ploy to avoid the same fate with the property as his seized jewellery.
But hard core supporters of Omokore claim otherwise, that he is fully corporating with the government in the case against him and so has nothing to fear, to the point of engaging in panick sales of properties.
They claim the talks are just what they are, talks and wonder who is after him with these talks.
