FCMB Boss, Ladi Balogun At A Loss, Orders Full Scale Internal Investigation Into “Work” Of Olisa Nwakoby, Branch Manager Who Committed Suicide Over Alleged N350m Loan Gone Bad

Nwakoby reportedly committed suicide on Friday July 29 2016 in front of his pastors at Our Lady Star of the Sea Catholic Church, Lekki, Lagos state.

He was alleged to be facing personal issues and pressure from work to recover an estimated N350m loan he facilitated that has gone bad.

But sources within the bank told societynowng.com that the angle of ‘’pressure from work’’ as positioned in reports over the development ”alien” to the management of the financial institution.
‘’which pressure are they talking about..something extraordinary?, we are not aware of it’’ the insider disclosed.

And went further ‘’we all face the same work pressure..we are not aware, he was undergoing anything extra’’.

The source further validated this claim with revelation ‘’ the bank has just ordered a full scale internal investigation into his (Nwakoby’s) work to see whether he was involved in personal transactions that turned sour or anything other thing that would help to understand what happened’’

Societynowng.com confirmed bank boss, Ladi Balogun gave the directive.

The front person of the financial institution widely known as ‘’FCMB’’ is said to be ‘’at a loss’’ over what happened.
He is labelled ‘’shocked’’ by reports emanating over the tragic occurrence.

Societynowng.com learnt the full scale internal investigation is meant to help the bank come to terms with what went wrong at their end- as well as aide ongoing police investigation into the case.

Additional digs revealed bank boss, Ladi Balogun has given those charged with the responsibility of conducting the internal probe a 3day deadline to come up with initial report of their findings.

Efforts to get some of the bank officials and inside sources to comment on record were however spurned.

They opted to officially keep mum over the tragic incident because of the ‘’sensitivity’’ of the happenstance.

But it was however obvious the development ‘’shocking’’ to them.

Until his death by suicide via a gun shot reportedly to his head, 44yr old Olisa Nwakoby is said to be the Manager, Lekki Branch of First City Monument Bank- married with children.
