EFCC Says Claims Cash, Drugs Seized From Home Of El-Rufai’s Son Are False

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has dismissed claims that cash and drugs were seized from the home of Bello, the son of former Governor El-Rufai.
The anti-graft agency labeled the claims as a “false narrative” and provided context with a short statement that reads:
“EFCC Discovers $800 Million, ₦700 Billion Cash, and ₦1 Trillion Worth of Drugs at Nasir El-Rufai’s Son’s House in Kaduna.”
The commission, headed by Ola Olukoyede, stated: “This piece of news quoted above is a false narrative of the activities of the EFCC. Members of the public are enjoined to ignore it.”
EFCC provided the clarification in the morning of Thursday, December 5, 2024.
