Details: Tight Security As Ex- Gov Ajimobi Is Buried Hours Ahead Of Schedule At His Private Residence
Former Governor of Oyo State Abiola Ajimobi has been buried.
Information monitored by societynow.ng on Oyoinsight.com revealed that the former Governor was buried ahead of the announced time at his private residence in Oluyole Estate.
Societynow.ng gathered that Ajimobi who died of complications from Covid-19 was buried at ‘’exactly 10.05’’ according to Islamic rites – though the burial comes 3 days after his death was announced in violation of rules guiding such ceremony in Islam (the edict states that Muslims should be buried within 24hours of death).
The development is contrary to a statement released by the former Governor’s media aide which stated that Ajimobi would be buried at noon with the place of worship he built, Oke-Ado Central Mosque listed as the burial site.

The information at hand revealed that Ajimobi was laid to rest at his private residence earlier today by Clerics which include Alhaji Kunle Sanni, Sheikh Muyideen Bello, and Chief Imam of Ibadan land, Sheikh Abubakri AbdulGaniyu Agbotomokere.
Oyoinsight.com reported that less than 20 people attended the burial of the former Governor.
A prayer for the repose of his soul is planned for noon at Oke-Ado Central Mosque as advocated by the Islamic leaders explained burying him at the place of worship is against the tenets of the religion he practiced.
Other sources disclosed that the burial of Ajimobi at his private residence took place under tight security.
