Details: Fayose, Younger Brother Campaign For Different Candidates 24hrs To Ondo Guber Election

The battle for who becomes the next Governor of Ondo state has added another color.

It has found Ayodele Fayose and his brother Isaac on opposing sides.

While Fayose is firmly behind the Eyitayo Jegede, the candidate of his party, People’s Democratic Party (PDP) his brother Isaac is openly campaigning for the re-election of Governor Rotimi Akeredolu.

Akeredolu is the gubernatorial candidate of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).

The Ondo state Gubernatorial election scheduled for tomorrow, Saturday, October 10, 2020, is seen as a three-horse race between Akeredolu, Jegede, and deputy governor Agboola Ajayi.

Agboola Ajayi who dumped the APC for PDP is the gubernatorial candidate of the Zenith Labour Party (ZLP) where he ended up.

Societynow.ng gathered that Fayose is in Ondo state working with other chieftains of his party including famed strategist Governor Nyesom Wike of Rivers State to ensure the victory of Jegede.

Isaac, who owes his social and financial standings to the goodness of his elder brother is passionately carrying out a gubernatorial campaign for Akeredolu on social media- and mocking Jegede in the process..

‘’Interestingly, Isaac always supports the candidates of PDP, his brother’s political party until this particular election…many even believed he is card-carrying member of the party!’’ a source pointed out.

There are , however, some who believe Isaac took his support for Akeredolu to the public space as a protest of sort against the treatment meted out to his elder at the venue of the grand finale of Jegede”s gubernatorial campaign.

The former governors cap was snatched from his head by political thugs who attempted to molest him but for his body guards who rescued him.

Fayose pointed accusing fingers at Governor of Oyo, Seyi Makinde and another party leader Bode George as the architects of the “public harassment”.
