What Aiyedatiwa Told Ayo Fayose On His 65th Birthday

Governor Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa of Ondo State has extended warm felicitations to former Ekiti State governor, Ayo Fayose, as he marked his 65th birthday on Saturday in Lagos.
Aiyedatiwa, who attended the celebration alongside his wife, Oluwaseun, joined other prominent Nigerians to honour Fayose at the well-attended event.

In his goodwill message, the governor hailed Fayose’s courage, resilience and unwavering commitment to causes he believes in, describing him as a figure whose convictions continue to influence Nigeria’s political landscape.
“I warmly celebrate you today on the joyous occasion of your 65th birthday. I join your family, friends, and countless well-wishers in thanking God for your life of courage, conviction, and service to the people of Ekiti State and to our nation,” he said.

Aiyedatiwa praised the former governor’s firm attachment to democratic principles and his strong connection with the grassroots, saying these attributes have defined his years in public leadership.
“Your boldness in speaking your truth, your passion for the welfare of ordinary citizens, and your contributions to the growth of our political space remain worthy of commendation,” he added.

He prayed for renewed strength, wisdom and fulfilment for Fayose as he begins another year, asking that God’s grace continue to guide and keep him in good health.
The birthday celebration drew an array of dignitaries, including Vice President Kashim Shettima; former President Olusegun Obasanjo; former Senate President Bukola Saraki; Ekiti governor Abiodun Oyebanji; the Ooni of Ife, Oba Enitan Adeyeye Ogunwusi; and former Ekiti governors Niyi Adebayo and Kayode Fayemi, among others.
