Chocolate City Music has named Izere Imosemi Yeye-Agba, founder of ThrivemamaCare, as the winner of the 2025 Built By Her Grant.

At a recent ceremony held at the label’s Lagos headquarters, Yeye-Agba was awarded a N1 million grant to advance her childcare platform, which connects mothers with thoroughly vetted and professionally trained nannies and domestic care providers.

ThrivemamaCare stood out among more than 200 entries submitted by female entrepreneurs from across Nigeria. The platform addresses a pressing need for working mothers while also generating meaningful employment opportunities for caregivers.

“We are incredibly proud to support Izere’s vision through our Built By Her initiative,” said Ifeyinwa Anyadiegwu, Legal and Business Head at Chocolate City. “ThrivemamaCare solves a critical need and offers a dual impact that made her application especially compelling.”

During her visit to Chocolate City’s headquarters, Yeye-Agba toured the facility and held in-depth conversations with company leadership. She shared her journey of building ThrivemamaCare and her goals to expand its reach to more cities in Nigeria.

“This grant will help us improve our vetting processes and expand our training programs for caregivers,” she said. “Our goal is to make quality childcare more accessible while empowering women on both sides of our platform.”

Launched in January 2025, the Built By Her Grant was created to support visionary female entrepreneurs working in music, media, fashion, tech, and related sectors. The program is part of Chocolate City Music’s ongoing efforts to promote diversity and women’s leadership in the creative economy.

Applications were judged on innovation, scalability, social impact, and leadership, with the final decision made by a panel of industry leaders and Chocolate City executives. ThrivemamaCare was unanimously selected as this year’s recipient.
