Bibowei Is Bayelsa New Director Of Sports
with the mandate to reposition the state
The Governor of Bayelsa State, Senator Douye Diri, has approved the appointment of Mr. Lambert Bibowei Harrison as the substantive Director of Sports, Bayelsa State Sports Council.
Bibowei appointment comes months after the retirement of Sir. Braveman Wodi.
Mr. Andrew Aye has been serving in acting capacity before this substantive appointment.
According to the statement by the Commissioner for Sports Development, Bayelsa State, Mr. Daniel Igali, the appointment takes immediate effect with the mandate to reposition the state as one of the leading states in Sports in the country.
Mr. Lambert Bibowei Harrison has built his own CV as well serving in different capacities, particularly as the Secretary Planning Committee for Team Bayelsa contingent to Ogun State during the 2024 National Sports Festival where the state returned 3rd position.
