Babatunde Fashola Is Having It Rough On Nigerian Roads!
Eniola Adeniyi
Minister of Works Babatunde Fashola is having it rough on the social media space over his comments on the state of Nigerian roads.
Minister while speaking with state house correspondents expressed the opinion that the roads are not bad.
‘’They are not bad as portrayed’’ the former governor of Lagos state asserted.
And a lot of road users have taken him on and in very strong terms that attack the credibility of Fashola’s opinion.
Former Minister Femi Fani Kayode was especially hard on Fashola.
FFK as he loves to be addressed labeled decorated Fashola in an opinion that is best left unreplicated.
Societynow.ng surfed the media space and found the most polite condemnation of Fashola’s ‘’offensive’’ summation from a public having a hard time moving about the country on roads that have become ‘’ death traps’’.
‘’He is quite correct!! Fashola is referring to the roads that airlines travel in the sky, the tarmac and the roads within the airports but people are mistaken it to be the roads that motor cars travel on land. The only land roads he is referring to are the ones in garki, maitama, asokoro, wuse. Please note that not entire Abuja ooo. Before you start mentioning places like kuje, gwagwalada, etc.’’
‘’Please let’s clap for this minister that fixed power in six months……’’
‘’Exactly my thought, only that you put it in a better way. There’s nothing wrong in what he said o! How can Fashola be wrong? After all, he is a Senior Advocate of Nigeria. He’s only advocating what we all know. ‘’
‘’This is a man disconnected from reality. I remember listening to Jonathan saying similar thing years ago on Arise TV and I was shocked but then, when you live in FCT (which already have beautiful laid out roads, by the way) and you have highly padded SUVs that float over potholes of any depth, it is easy for anyone to trivialise the pains of 99.999% of Nigerians’’
‘’Fashiola ur live in self denial, Nigeria has no roads,
With this nonsense this man would have made to resign’’
