As former vice president Atiku Abubarkar “officially” kick starts his campaign to become president- ex President Olusegun Obasanjo has come out to canvass it’s time to give the Igbo’s chance to rule.

Atiku is from the North while the Igbos are from the East.

Chief Obasanjo made his position known

‘’when the leadership of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), Ogun State chapter, led by Bishop Tunde – Akin Akinsanya visited him at his Hilltop residence in Abeokuta for a special New Year service.’’ According to information sourced from thenation.

The former president specifically stated ‘’ “Irrespective of the thinking of the people ahead of 2019, I personally think that South-East should have a go at the Presidency too. ’’

Interestingly Atiku served as Vice President in the regime of Chief Olusegun Obasanjo.

And was very keen to succeed him, but the former president frustrated the move.

Many believed the duo have reconciled their differences over the years – but emerging details point otherwise.
