Allegations Popular Broadcaster Tinuke Oloruntoyin Folami Yanked Off Air, Barred Over Use Of Hijab Whip Up Storm In & Out Of Lagos Television

There is a brewing storm.

And at the centre of it is broadcast station, Lagos Television situated on Agidingbi, Ikeja.

The management of the television station owned by Lagos state is accused of yanking popular broadcaster Tinuke Oloruntoyin – Folabi off air over the use of Hijab.

And equally barred from appearing on screen since as far back as November 2016 – over the issue.

According to trending details. the newscaster was given a ‘remove the hijab or forget appearing on screen’’ option.

She chose to stick with her faith.

However growing knowledge of the development is said to be creating a religious storm in and out of the television station with Deji Balogun as General Manager.

Already messages on social media platforms are circulating calling Islamic religion’s faithfuls and sympathisers to action over the issue are already making the rounds.
