Finally Popular On Air Personality, Soji Omotayo has talked himself into wealth.

The fast talker now has over eight independent programmes on Radio, Television and online.

And this is outside of his real estate business, ongoing sale of land of the ‘’Soji Omotayo Royal City’’.

Add his media relations, brand management consultancy and events compere to these and you are looking at a solid foundation for a multiple stream of income.

‘’and mind you these are his known income earners’’ a source pointed out.
SOJ as fondly called is today a hugely in demand anchor person.

He has great following in the grass root and entertainment world and across states his programmes hold.

A chat with the slim talker revealed broadcasting brought the real estate business.

‘’it is a partnership thing with DOSMAK Nigeria Limited’’ he disclosed and submits on the general state of his business ‘’we thank God, things are getting better, far better’’.

But he didn’t get here over night.

‘’we are constantly on the road, doing late nights and away from home a lot…i hardly spend a day at home in a week…it’s tough, from Lagos to Abeokuta and Ibadan for live and recorded programmes on Radio and Television and also produce contents for our programmes on London stations Surprise FM and BEN T.V…these are of course outside anchoring events and other things..it is tasking’’ he enthused.

And very risky too, as proven by recent occurrence, checks revealed.

His team was the subject of an armed robbery attack towards the end of last year.

They were coming back from a production at Lagos Television, Agidingbi- Lagos.

The incident resulted in a tragedy, the robbers shot Abiodun Oluwaseun, one of his crew member point blank on the head for allegedly ‘’resisting’’.

They disposed every member of the team off their valuables and made away with the OAP’s 2013 Toyota Camry car.

‘’It was frightening and the death of Abiodun a huge loss..the robbers have been apprehended and we have buried Abiodun, that experience shook us up’’ says Omotayo.

The popular On Air Presenter reportedly took it upon himself to singularly execute the burial of the departed – and put arrangements in place for the care of the deceased’s immediate family.

Societynowng.com gathered that was just one of the tragedies that befell the man and his team in the course of the job but he insists ‘’we don’t let it get to us. What we do is a calling, we cannot afford to fail our listeners or viewers whichever is the case’’

He says his inspiration comes from his drive: to entertain and educate.

‘’I know people want to listen to me to lighten their mood and learn a thing or two, that is what i work on’’ he further revealed.

Though he works hellish hours and is constantly not at home, the man now reaping the fruits of his labour says he relaxes on the go.

‘’In transit, attending events and linking up with friends while on the go is a form of relaxation for me..i just sit and let what they do entertain me…and once i manage to find my way home, even if it’s just for a couple of hours in a week…i shut down and sleep. I give my body deserved rest’’ he disclosed.

There is no talking to him without mentioning the incident that blazed him online and front pages of celebrity journals last year.

Auto dealer Kunle Kushimo popularly known as Agarawu assaulted him with matchete over adultery allegations.

‘’he realised his mistake, he was told a Soji was involved with his wife and didn’t establish who but because i am the more popular Soji, i obviously came to his mind and he came after me

‘’When he was faced with onus of proof and realised he erred he started pleading to be forgiven and with interventions from lots of people i respected, i withdrew the case from court after he officially tendered an apology and wrote an undertaking, those are episodes i just want to forget…i think that is one of the costs of stardom’’.

With over eight independent programmes under his belt and counting, what is he really out to achieve.

‘’the immediate goal is radio station of my own and i am working on it’’ he started keeping silent on the target of the long term haul.
