Niger State governor, farmer Mohammed Umaru Bago was among eminent Nigerians that thronged the multi-purpose hall of Borno State Government House, Maiduguri, venue for the wedding reception of four children of Borno State governor, Prof. Babagana Umara Zulum.

The Wedding fatiha for the children which include Umar, Mamman, Abba and Aisha Babagana Umara was earlier held at the Shehu’s palace, Borno.

Farmer Umaru Bago congratulated his counterpart for the joyous day of witnessing his children get married as he prayed for Allah’s blessings and guidance to the newly wedded couples.

The farmer governor used the medium to encourage the couples to hold on firm to the teachings of Islam as they embark on another phase in their lives.

Farmer Umaru Bago enjoined them to be tolerant, loving and kind to one another, and should not allow third parties get involved in their marital lives.

He wished them the best in their new homes and advised that they remain good ambassadors of Islam and the noble family they come from.

Vice President Kasim Shettina led a high powered federal government delegation to the event which also included political leaders like the APC National Chairman, Nentawe Yilwatda, members of the National Assembly, serving ministers, former governors and their deputies.

Also present at the event are former Vice President Babagana Kingibe, Speaker of the House of Representatives Tajudeen Abbas, Deputy Senate President Jibril Barau, and governors of Kaduna, Zamfara, Kebbi, Nasarawa, Sokoto, Kano, Katsina and Gombe States.

The former Kano State governor and APC National Chairman, Dr. Umar Ganduje, former Borno State Governor, Senator Ali Modu Sheriff, as well as several former governors and senior political figures were also in attendance.

Farmer Umaru Bago and his entourage were also at the Palace of the Shehu of Borno, Alhaji Abubakar Ibn Umar Garbai Al-Amin El-Kanemi to seek his royal blessings and appreciate him for his fatherly role in Nation building.
