Otti, who was at the stadium to witness the encounter, recounted how Enyimba came from behind twice to record a hard-fought victory that not only secured all three points but also lifted the People’s Elephant to the summit of the NPFL table.

He disclosed that during halftime he joined the team in the dressing room to encourage the players, a gesture he said was rewarded with determination and an impressive second-half performance that sealed the win. According to him, the squad gave a remarkable account of themselves and emerged victorious by sheer grit and belief.

The Governor hailed the massive turnout of supporters, noting that the fans’ energy electrified the atmosphere and spurred the players on. He remarked that with such unwavering support, Enyimba once again lived up to its name as the People’s Elephant.

Otti also praised Bendel Insurance for putting up a spirited fight and displaying commendable sportsmanship despite the defeat. He commended the visitors for their courage on the pitch and the competitive spirit they brought to Aba.

In his message, the Governor expressed gratitude to the coaching crew, the Enyimba board, and its chairman, former Super Eagles captain Kanu Nwankwo, for their leadership and commitment to excellence. He said the triumph was a reflection of the unity and determination that define the people of Abia State.
