After Years Of Absence, Loyalists Rejoice As Aiyedatiwa’s Wife Returns
is back in the state.
Oluwaseun, the wife of Ondo State Governor Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa, is back in the state.
She returns after years of absence.
The Governor’s wife left the state while her husband was serving as Deputy Governor.
Her departure, amid a blaze of speculations, became a major campaign point against Aiyedatiwa, especially during the all-out shady campaign to stop him from becoming Acting Governor while his principal, Rotimi Akeredolu, was incapacitated by ill health—even when she debunked some of the claims against her husband.

Against all odds, Aiyedatiwa became Acting Governor—after an intervention by President Bola Tinubu—and later substantive Governor following Akeredolu’s demise on December 27, 2023.
On November 16, 2024, he won the election to start a fresh tenure on February 24, 2025.
The Governor achieved all these feats with the cloud of speculation about a failed marriage hanging over his head.
His wife’s return ahead of the February 24 swearing-in puts an end to claims, particularly by opponents, that he couldn’t manage his marriage.
The Governor’s wife announced her return to the state by attending an outing with her husband in the state capital, Akure.
Now, the Governor’s supporters and loyalists are having a field day, hitting back at those who speculated that his marriage was over, insisting that his wife’s absence was for “security” reasons.
