Though it is not clear which faction is effectively in control of the party structure of Ogun state chapter of the People’s Democratic, a clear signal is however filtering out.
After suffering two defeats at the polls as a governorship candidate, Gboyega Isiaka is on the prowl for a third chance relaunch his ambition.
He is said to be hunting the gubernatorial ticket of the PDP once more.
He was the flag bearer of the party in the last general election that earned incumbent Ogun governor Ibikunle Amosun a second term ticket.
GNI as widely known emerged party in controversial circumstances backed by party leader Senate Kashamu Buruji.
Curiously he failed to carry along the political factor that gave him his first chance at gubernatorial contest, Otunba Gbenga Daniel in his last pursuit.
Gboyega Isiaka first emerged a gubernatorial candidate on the platform of PPN, the political party floated by support group of ex Governor Gbenga Daniel during his days of turbulence in PDP.
Isiaka was considered a Gbenga Daniel product until the last election, he abandoned his known mentor to side with Buruji as part of consideration to secure the PDP ticket.
Though back in the same party, Buruji and Daniels remain on different political divides.
But thanks to multiple court injunctions, Buruji had control of the party structure.
After his eventual loss to Amosun, Isiaka stayed a floating man waiting for who emerges holder of the structure as congress beckons.
The congress to elect a new party executives however ended up throwing the party into bigger crises.
Three separate executives emerged laying claims to control of the party structure.
There is the Dimeji Bankole faction, the Kashamu Buruji arm and the Ladi Adebutu group said to draw power from silent support from ex governor Gbenga Daniel.
Societynowng.com learnt Isiaka doesnot have the political muscle to float a parallel executive of his own, but is currently clandestinely moving behind the scene to outwit factions at play at the slightest available opportunity.
He is said to have started quietly chipping at the base of the three separate groups luring with money and attempting political bargains, drawing in supporters to get a foothold with which to make interests at play conspire against one another to his own gain.
