AEDC Gives Debtors Deadline To Pay Or Face Disconnection Of Electricity Service

The Abuja Electricity Distribution Company (AEDC) has announced the deadline for the disconnection of electricity service to those who are owing.

The electricity distribution company took the step via a notice to all customers with outstanding bills urging them to settle their accounts to avoid disconnection.

The affected customers have been given till Monday, June 3, 2024, to settle their bills or face disconnection of electricity service as part of efforts to ensure efficient and reliable service.

“To this end, customers who are yet to settle their outstanding bills within the next 72 hours, by Monday, June 3, 2024, will face disconnection of their electricity supply” the notice stated.

And further highlighted that “the timely payment of electricity bills remains crucial for the continued operation and enhancement of AEDC’s infrastructure, which is essential for delivering uninterrupted service to the community”

The notice signed by the head of marketing and corporate Communications of Abuja Electricity Distribution Company, Adefisayo Akinsanya was issued on Friday, May 31, 2024.
