Asiwaju Bola Tinubu Shuts Down Newspaper Biz, National Life!

Governor Emeritus of Lagos state, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu has ordered the closure of one of his newspaper businesses.

The publication is National Life.

The paper set up largely using the professional expertise of ex Sun Newspaper man and now commissioner in Edo state, Louis Odion was shut down last week.

The announcement was communicated to staffers after an emergency meeting by the management of the publication on Wednesday June 6 2012.

Though it is not clear what ‘package’ was promised or made available to disengaged staffers for job loss- societynowng.com investigation revealed a soft landing of sort have been made available to a select top staffers willing to accept the offer.

They will be absorbed into the operation of the political leader’s more vibrant publication, The Nation.

Insiders divulged most have already accepted the offer.

Sources confirmed that it is not sure whether the closure is permanent or a pre condition for a revolving into something new.
