Why There Was No Merriment On Popular Transport Union Boss, Kunle Poly’s Birthday

Kunle Lawal, one of the most visible transport union bosses in Lagos state was a year older during the week.
The top shot of the National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW) better known as Kunle Poly was a year older on Thursday, March 24, 2022.

Kunle Poly is still in custody as part of an ongoing investigation into the turf war that resulted in the death of in Idumota area of Lagos state.
The court ordered Kunle Poly and other transport union leaders like Okoro (Kosoko Akeem Agboola), and Egbon Idowu (Idowu Onikoyi) to be remanded in custody to enable a proper investigation into the cause of the deadly fight which has become a constant occurrence.
“There were talks he would be released two days before his birthday but we are not sure what happened” SocietyNow.Ng gathered.
The added information available revealed that though he was not on hand to host his usual birthday shindig, some of Kunle Poly’s loyal friends and associates took to social media to celebrate him on their pages.
“But it wasn’t as much as it used to be, his people couldn’t host any get-together in his honor to avoid misrepresentation of intention ” SocietyNow.Ng gathered.
The NURTW which gave Kunle Poly fame has been suspended in Lagos state amid a fierce faceoff between state chairman MC Oluomo (Musiliu AKinsanya) and the association’s National President Ibikunle Baruwa.
