Lagos Senator Solomon Olamilekan Adeola – better known as Yayi – has officially announced his interest in the Ogun West senatorial seat.

The Senator made the declaration at a massive ceremony in Ilaro, Ogun West on Wednesday, April 6, 2022.

The federal lawmaker who has about 20years of experience under his belt as a state and federal legislator in Lagos state told the gathering ” I am officially declaring to heed their call as their son to run as a candidate for Ogun West Senatorial District in the 2023 election”.

One of the highlights of Senator Yayi’s declaration was the arrival of masquerades in customized clothing proclaiming the aspirant’s ambition and bearing his picture and political party’s name – All Progressives Congress (APC).

The development has resulted in muttered talks of desecration of culture as Yayi’s supporters hit the town with claims of his endorsement by the gods.

The talks of desecration of culture are being weaponized against the senator’s ambition in Ogun State.

The Information available to SocietyNow.Ng, however, revealed that according to modern rules guiding culture and tradition, Yayi and his men have not done anything wrong with clothing a masquerade as a walking signboard of political ambition.

“That is a ceremonial egun (Masquerade). There is nothing to it” SocietyNow.Ng gathered.

Further digs by SocietyNow.Ng revealed that the concept of “ceremonial begun” at Yayi’s declaration is one of the aberrations in culture and tradition that has become a norm.

“It is was according to the rules of old, it would have been a big deal but modernization of culture has relaxed a lot of the rules and this is one of them” SocietyNow.Ng gathered.
