Why Ogun SSG Talabi & Gov Abiodun’s Chief Of Staff Salisu Shuaib “Can’t Resign”

SocietyNow.Ng gathered that contrary to information milling around both the Secretary to the Ogun State Government (SSG)Tokunbo Talabi and the Governor Dapo Abiodun’s Chief of Staff (COS) Salisu Afolabi Shuaib have not resigned their appointments.

“I don’t know about others on that list branded about town but the inclusion of both Tokunbo Talabi and Salisu Shuaib is not correct” according to the information available.

Information pieced together revealed that they are the most trusted aides of Governor Abiodun and still at their duty posts.

“They are the powerhouse of this administration. You can’t get anything of note from the Government and the Governor without their intervention. The SSG is massively involved with the day-to-day running of the state while the Chief of Staff holds the same influence in handling politicians. The added information available revealed that with the Governor seeking a second term in office the “arrangement” is that they retain their positions to ensure continuity in governance.

“Outside of this, it took a lot of pleadings for Talabi to accept the position of SSG. He is a billionaire businessman who preferred to support his friends in politics behind the scene but D.A (Governor Abiodun) insisted he wanted a visionary professional as SSG and was adamant on Talabi based past interactions. Talabi was pressured to accept the position. He is not eyeing any senatorial position” SocietyNow.Ng gathered.

Those conversant with the achievements of the Dapo Abiodun administration say very telling in gains of Talabi’s contributions is the business minded approach to governance that has seen more focus on revenue yielding projects as well economy boosting infrastructures.
