Why Niger Govt Imposed 6pm To 6am Curfew In Minna

In a statement through the Governor’s Chief Press Secretary Bologi Ibrahim, the restriction follows series of violent attacks by some miscreants who have decided to take laws into their hands .

The statement enjoins all residents in Minna to adhere strictly to the curfew as the measure is meant to curtail the violence from some disgruntled elements following the death of 37 artisanal miners in the custody of NSCDC officials in the State.

The governor calls on residents to remain calm as security agencies are on ground to maintain law and order and avoid further losses
