“Why Ife, Modakeke Should Go To War Again” – Ooni Of Ife

Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi wants his subjects to go to war.

And he has taken steps to achieve this.

He called the youths of Ife and Modakeke – known for violent communal clashes – to his place and told them to war.

But wait a bit… Ooni is not talking about the war of guns and cutlasses, or that of engagements with more deadly weapons.

The Ooni in a televised chat on NTA Yoruba, Stated he called the youths to his palace wage war of commerce.

“That we are going to war against poverty and they should be ready to fight with business initiatives” he stated.

Ooni who insist a life long peace now reign between Ife and Modakeke disclosed the economic war to break the shackles of poverty is already on.

The monarch disclosed party of war against poverty is the ongoing effort at cashing on the tourism potentials in his domain- and beyond.
