Why Gov Amosun’s Anointed Successor Akinlade Is In For A Stormy Time With Ogun Civil Servants

And the particular portion under consideration appears unfavorable to gubernatorial aspirant Adekunle Akinlade.

Akinlade is the wizkid Governor Ibikunle Amosun has unveiled as his successor.

But there appears to be a growing campaign that threatens his success at the poll amongst civil servants in Ogun state.

Akinlade was a former Senior Special Assistant to Governor Amosun on Taxation and Revenue.

“Adekunle Oversaw the Directorate of other Taxes at the Board of Internal Revenue Service in Ogun state” societynow.ng learned.

Insiders disclosed Akinlade is said to have orchestrated a tax regime that was particularly unfavorable to the workers.

“Workers claim they suffered heavy tax deductions during this period and he’s now fingered as the architect of the development which favoured the state at the expense of the civil servants” a source explained.

Societynow.ng learned the talks which dubbed Akinlade as the “unfavorable tax man” has become popular amongst civil servants.

“And speedily spilling into the streets” a source added.

Akinlade is currently a Federal House of Representatives member representing Egbado South and Ipokia in Ogun West.

His emergence as a Consensus candidate has kicked up a lot of dust with Governor Amosun forced to give other aspirants the go-ahead to test their popularity against him in an upcoming gubernatorial primary election.
