Akeredolu Orders All Ondo Govt Officials Who Have Purchased Nomination Forms To Resign

Definitely, you cannot eat your cake and have it is the policy of Governor Rotimi Akeredolu.

The Ondo state helmsman has ordered all government officials who have declared interests in elective posts to resign their appointments.

This directive particularly applies to all those who have purchased nominations forms societynow.ng learned.

Information available revealed that Akeredolu issued the order through a circular from his chief press secretary Segun Ajiboye.

The circular put a deadline of Monday, September 17 for the resignation.

The circular issued by Ajiboye and signed by Chief of Staff To The Governor Olugbenga Ale reads in part “Following preparations towards the 2019 general elections and subsequent expression of interest of some Executive Council members to contest for political offices, Mr. Governor has directed that any member who has obtained nomination form to contest election into any political office is to put in his/her letter of resignation on or before Monday, 17th September 2018.”
