Oba Abdullateef Adeniran Akanni, the Olofin Adimula of Ado-Odo, Awori Kingdom has joined his ancestors.

The transition to the status of his forefathers transpired a week ago.

SocietyNow.Ng gathered that although the grief caused by the development is not pronounced in the public space, the passage of the royal father is seen as a major blow.

The throne of Olofin Adimula is held sacred by custodians of culture and tradition in Awori land.

“There are two thrones in Awori land that bear the titular identity Olofin Adimula and those who know the history and culture of Aworland do not joke with them” SocietyNow.Ng gathered.

The two thrones are the Olofin Adimula of Ado Odo and the Olofin Adimula of Isheri.

“As far back as 1955 or so, they were the recognized crowns in Aworiland, and debates about which is senior are usually subjective” according to information at hand.

Oba (Dr.) Abdulateef Adeniran Akanni, the Ojikutujoye,- Obarun Aladekan 1 occupied the throne of Olofin Adimula of Ado-Odo (Ogun West), Awori Kingdom until last week.

“Based on the heritage of the throne he occupied amongst other things, his demise is seen as a big blow to Awori Kingdom” SocietyNow.Ng gathered.

His transition rites are being handled by “those charged with such” according to the information available.

Interestingly, the passage of Olofin Adimula Ojikutoye comes a year after he hosted dignitaries including other traditional rulers to a groundbreaking event in his domain.

The event which was held on Saturday, February 20, 2021, was the talk of the town for months.
