Why Dapo Abiodun Has Refused To Do Away With Loyalists Of Those Giving Him Grief

Governor of Ogun State, Dapo Abiodun is battling a stormy period.

He is fighting all shades of battles threatening his second term ambition.

SocietyNow.Ng gathered that political battles are being waged by aggrieved “leaders” who brought him to power and their loyalists.

“Some of the loyalists are active and passive facilitators who are employed by Abiodun’s govenrment” SocietyNow.Ng gathered.

But the Governor has refused to do away with them.

“You have to understand that in politics numbers and perception play a big part, especially perception. Doing away with such persons, particularly the big names will greatly affect perception about the political might of the Governor” SocietyNow.Ng gathered.

Abiodun came to power on borrowed political structures in 2019 and relied on recommendations of loyalists of his “helpers” to fill positions.

“Sustaining the arrangement, despite claims that the leaders cum leaders that helped him to power have turned against him, creates a mirage of political strenght” SocietyNow.Ng gathered.
