He was one of the high-profile guests at the launch of the memoir and Presidential Library of former military President, Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida.

Amosun’s attendance at the much-talked-about event, held in Abuja on Thursday, November 20, 2025, has sparked discussions, especially in his political base in Ogun State.

The conversations are centered around pictures from the event featuring the immediate past Senator representing Ogun Central.

“He was in the front row when the President was exchanging pleasantries with guests, and based on the general understanding of the order of recognition in such a gathering, that says a lot about his standing in the nation’s community of power brokers,” sums up the raging reactions to the pictures, according to sources.

And the followers of the owner of one of the four most powerful political structures in Ogun State are making the most of the development, highlighting his solid influence in high places, including with the President.

Checks revealed that this development comes against the backdrop of the influential politician, said to have fully reawakened his statewide following, being deeply involved in moves to determine who becomes the next Governor of Ogun State.

The launch of IBB’s autobiography, A Journey in Service, and the Presidential Library, which raised about N17.5 billion towards its construction, attracted the who’s who in Nigeria across socio-political and economic divides.
