“We Are Prepared To Deal With Anyone” – Osun Police Boss Warns Against Electoral Fraud

Police commissioner, Olawale Olokode has strongly warned against electoral malpractices ahead of the July 16 gubernatorial election in Osun state.

The Osun state police commissioner, an M.Sc holder in Peace & Conflict Resolutions Studies, declared that his officers are ” fully prepared to deal decisively with anyone caught in such act.” according to a statement issued by force spokesperson Opalola Yemisi Olawoyin on Saturday,

“The Commissioner of Police is using this medium to advise the members of the public to shun all forms of electoral malpractices/offences” the statement also stated.

SocietyNow.Ng gathered that as part of the forward-thinking strategy of the former Commissioner of Police in charge of Border patrol to ensure a free and fair election, the raiding of black spots in Osun state has started. And 18 suspected criminals have been arrested.

Commissioner of police Olokode, known for his open door and proactive approach is urging the public to partner with the police to ensure a credible governorship election holds.

The commissioner of police who assumed office in December 2020 urges ” the good people of the state to give prompt and useful information that could assist the police to nip in the bud all kinds of crimes/electoral malpractices.” according to the statement by Opalola.
