We Are Happy – Diri On Pace Of Ongoing Projects In Bayelsa State
expressed satisfaction with the pace of work on the various projects
Governor of Bayelsa State, Senator Douye Diri on thursday, inspected some ongoing projects across the state.
Projects inspected include, Angiama bridge, Oporoma road, Otuan road, Angiama-Eniwari road, Polaku-Sabagreia road, the 25,000 capacity stadium, GloryDrive Phase 3, Imgbi link bridge, the 9-Storey Secretariat, and Road 1 of the New Yenagoa linking the Amassoma-Airport road.
Governor Diri expressed satisfaction with the pace of work on the various projects and assured Bayelsans that he is committed to using the resources of the state to improve their standard of living, while promising to connect more riverine communities with roads.
Speaking on top of the ongoing 630 metres Angiama bridge, the governor stated that, for over 60 years, the Yenagoa-Oporoma- Ukubie road has been on the drawing board and he gave assurance on the completion of the road to Oporoma, headquarters of Southern Ijaw Local Government Area.
“As a government, we are happy with the pace work on the different project sites, and we know the people of Bayelsa are also happy.
Our government is committed to linking more riverine communities by roads”, Governor Diri stated.
Governor Diri was accompanied on the inspection by Rt. Hon. Monday Edwin Bubou Obolo, leader of the state House of Assembly, Hon. Anthony Alapala Ebitonmo, member representing Burutu Constituency 1 in the Delta State House of Assembly, ESV Moses Teibowei, Honorable Commissioner for Works and Infrastructure, Mr. Irorodamie Komonibo, Deputy Chief of Staff, Government House, Engr. Ebiye Tarabina, Chairman, Directorate of Project Monitoring and Evaluation and other top government officials.
