The strike which started at midnight today, June 28, 2022, is described as “effective” across the state.

Here are the wordings of the song

In Ogun state today, there is no promotion, there is no gratuity and contributory pension has gone away.

We have begged Dapo (Abiodun) he remains adamant, we have begged Talabi (Tokunbo) and Shuaib (Afolabi), Noimot the daughter of Salako it turned into futile efforts. Hee heee Please save us. Hee Hee Please save us. x2.

Remember, the day you were making pledges. Remember, the day you were making pledges. You pledge to redeem promises. You promised constant payment of workers salary, you promised you will not owe workers any due but the sweat of workers is now dry (without payment of dues), this suffering is too much, This Our tears of sorrow fill our eyes. It is Mr Governor that we want to see, It is the son of Abiodun that we want to see, It is the son of Baba Teacher that we want to see. This issue in Ogun state is confounding…

The workers are among other things demanding remittance of 21 months salary deduction, a halt to breach of contributory pension scheme, payment of 8years statutory leave allowances, return to payment of gross salary module, giving promotion exercise priority, and implementation of the adjustment on minimum pension.
