The new look of Mohammed Babangida, the 52-year-old son of former military president Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida, has been revealed—up close.

This unveiling took place during a recent visit by Mohammed Babangida, who holds a Master of Arts in Business Administration (Leadership) and a Master of Arts in Public Relations and Business Communication, to the Governor of Niger State, Umaru Bago.

Bago, who governs Babangida’s home state, also serves as President of the famous Minna Polo Club, where Mohammed Babangida holds the position of First Vice President.

The former board member at Intercity Bank, Unity Bank, NEXIM Bank, and currently bringing his expertise to bear at Lotus Bank, led the club’s management team on a condolence visit to the governor following the passing of Second Vice President Daniel Clifford Shashere—a former Secretary to the Niger State Government—and polo icon Dawule Baba.

During the visit, the team also informed the governor—who reaffirmed his commitment to building a new polo club for the Minna chapter as part of his unwavering support—about the upcoming Polo Tournament in Minna, scheduled for July 2025.

Usually publicity-shy, Mohammed Babangida’s passion for polo saw him let down his guard for photo ops that showcased his new look—up close.

A fellow of the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR) and the International Institute of Professional Security (IIPS), and a member of the Nigerian Institute of Management (Chartered), he has always guarded his privacy, to the extent of being notably camera-shy, despite his legendary status in the polo community.

Known for his strong business interests in real estate development, financial consulting, and logistics, as well as for supporting initiatives that provide underprivileged children with access to education, the younger Babangida is known to keep his private life – private.
