Unusual Celebration At Muz Banire’s Mother 7th Day Fidau Prayer

The usual pomp and pageantry the goes with final burial ceremony of a celebrity or politician mother or father was conspicuously missing at the 7th firdau prayer of Dr Muiz Banire’ s mother , Late Alhaja Sadat Abiola Banire, held on Thursday, August 22, 2019 at playing ground of Police College , Ikeja.

The event which started around 1pm on that day was purely a prayer session which lasted till 4pm. According to the Muslim clerics , the Ansar-ul- seen sect offers prayers to the death on seventh day and not eight day like other Muslim sects.

Guests were after the prayer session treated to refreshment of sumptuous assorted foods and soft drinks but there were no alcohol or music of any sort.

The guests were divided into two. While celebrities and guests with pass were taken to an enclosed canopy with AC, others were served their meals and drinks under the open canopy used for the prayer session.

Among dignitaries that graced the occasion are Alhaji Femi Okunnu(SAN) , Chief Wale Babalakin (SAN), Senator Ibikunle Amosun, Oba Saidi Elegushi, Mrs Esther Ajayi aka Iya Adura, Hon Adefunmilayo Tejuoso, Hon Olayiwola Olawale, Mr Tayo Ayinde, Chief of Staff to Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu , Dame Abimbola Fashola, Hon Jumoke Okoya- Thomas, Comrade Kayode Opeifa, Mr Yemi Cardoso, Mr Lateef Ibirogba, Mr Ayodeji Jubril Abdulkareem and many other guests.
