The untold story of why Aremo Adesegun Oniru stormed the palace of his father’s successor Oba Gbolahan Lawal has emerged.

Insiders disclosed that the primary motive was to show ‘’he or any of his siblings cannot be picked on in whatever form without repercussions’’.

‘’It was simply a power move to ensure protection for himself and his siblings on the streets’’ societynow.ng learned.

Aremo Oniru stormed the palace of the new king on Sunday, July 5, 2020, in reaction to the street beating suffered by his brother Tijani.

Tijani was beaten for assaulting an official of the assets recovery team set up by new king Gbolahan Lawal.

The objective of the team is to recover all assets of Iruland his predecessor Oba Idowu Abiodun Oniru and his children Aremo Adesegun, Tijani, Demola, and Olumide and others alleged cornered.

Tijani reportedly accosted the task force while marking one of the assets which he owns and allegedly slapped the leader of the team Murikisu Ajasa.

The team retaliated by giving him back a dose of his ‘’poison in surplus.’’

Aremo Oniru in retaliation stormed the palace of the new Oniru to arrest ‘’those that beat up his brother.’’

The move, however, backfired as the King shunned him in a development tagged affront to the throne by the King- in – council and members of the ruling houses in Iruland.

‘’But the thing is that whether it backfired or not, it got Aremo and his brothers desired reprieve from attacks on the street by thugs or other uncouth loyalists of those out for them, the move has upped the ante of interactions over assets recovery to more upscale engagements’’ a source stated.
