Untold Story As Oluwo Of Iwo Oba Adewale Akanbi Turns The Table On Kingmakers who Want To Dethrone Him

Embattled Oluwo of Iwo, Oba Abdulrosheed Adewale Akanbi is fighting teeth and nails to hold on to his crown.

Societynow.ng learned that as opposition forces form an alliance against him, Oluwo has opted to adopt the strategy of offense is the best form of defense in an all-out move to retain status as the King of Iwo.

Insiders disclosed this is why Oluwo has chosen to ‘’unseat’’ the kingmakers demanding his removal through a petition to the Governor of Osun State Gboyega Oyetola.

Oluwo is targeting all the 12 kingmakers and is said to be propping up loyal subjects as replacements.

The Iwo kingmakers are 14. 12 of them are demanding for the removal of Oluwo as the king. One of them is dead while the remaining one is loyal to the king.

Oba Akanbi is said to have approached enemies of the chiefs in their respective families to submit names of replacements for the kingmakers who supported the petition for his removal as King of Iwo to the office of the Governor of Osun State.

‘’The Oluwo with this move became the hunter instead of the hunted’’ societyno.ng learned.

Societynow.ng gathered that the kingmakers have, however, moved to stop Oluwo from removing them from office by approaching the court demanding an order restraining the king from carrying out the act.

Insiders disclosed that removing the kingmakers may not be the end of Oluwo’s troubles.

The king is facing opposition from religious leaders as well as major players in Iwo who helped him to ascend the throne with the ‘’powerful’’ Abiola Ogundokun serving as the point man.
