Transport Union Boss, MC Oluomo Gets Title Name Ahead Of Becoming Lagos King

Emerging details have it that the ambition of Musiliu Akinsanya, the Chairman of the National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW) in Lagos state to become a king remains burning.

And, the transport union boss famously known as MC Oluomo has gotten an informal title name ahead of the actualization of the ambition.

His friends and associates now call him “Gbadewolu 1” (The first to bring a crown to the town).

The title name cleverly plays on the historic feat about to be achieved by MC Oluomo whose crew just to firm control of the NURTW at the national level with the upstage of immediate past National President, Ibikunle Baruwa. And described as a pointer to conviction about “the ambition becoming a reality”.

SocietyNow.Ng gathered that Oshodi which has been in existence for some 300 years has been governed by Baales ( regional – or more popularly village – heads) and the last one died in 1970.

But Oluomo wants to upgrade the title, based on a strong connection with the state government, with his ambition to become King.

But he faces stiff opposition from those who have branded him “non indigene”.

A tag his team is passionately disputing and those who should know say the tag claim is being appreciably dispelled based on the transport union boss’ past deeds in the locality.

MC Oluomo’s activities as the branch chairman of the NURTW in Oshodi, particularly widespread generosity, brought him to prominence.

It also enhanced his standing for so long that he was at the forefront of turning around the notoriety in the area in a firm partnership with the police as well as putting an end to violent takeovers of garages and parks in Lagos State.

Along with close friends, Seego (Adekunle Mustapha) and Kudety (Sulaimon Ojora former known as Kudeleti), MC Oluomo has leveraged these feats – and others – to transform into a major stakeholder in Lagos State.

Oluomo and his top men Seego, Kudety and others are fierce members of the All Progressives Congress and massively backed by the Lagos establishment.

They were frontline campaigners in the election that gave Asiwaju Bola Tinubu the Presidency.
