Finally…Tinubu’s Man MC Oluomo Emerges Lagos Transport Union -NURTW – “Chairman”
Musiliu Akinsanya, the transport chief popular known as MC Oluomo has emerged as the Chairman of the Lagos state chapter of the National Union of Road Transport Workers.
Oluomo – a known canvasser of street support for popular politician Asiwaju Bola Tinubu – was named the Caretaker Committee Chairman of the Lagos State Chapter of the NURTW yesterday.
The decision was taken after the shift in the union election pegged for August 29, 2019, in the face of threats of violence.
Oluomo amassed over 90% of the 100 support needed to win the election against fierce opposition from outgoing Chairman Tajuedeen Agbede.
Underground negotiations eventually threw up Agbede as one of the Vice Presidents of the NURTW at the national level with Oluomo named Caretaker of Caretaker Committee to handle the affairs of the Lagos chapter.
The brain behind Oluomo’s massive campaign – and the original link to Asiwaju Tinubu- Mustapha “Seego” also made the list of the Caretaker Committee members.
