The leader of the ruling All Progressives Congress in Ogun State, Aremo Olusegun Osoba has urged Governor-Elect Dapo Abiodun to tell those working with him his plans for Ogun state so that strategies can be mapped out to achieve the dream rather than asking people for inputs all over town in the name of consultations.

According to an insider, ‘’Aremo Osoba told the governor-elect that he should share his dream for the state instead of asking people what they want. Osoba told him he should be seen as in charge and with a clear vision for the state, rather than trying to latch onto ideas from other people in the name of meetings and consultations’’.

Societynow.ng learned Osoba – who is a former governor of Ogun state – offered the advice at a recent engagement with the Gov-Elect, Abiodun.

Abiodun, who is about to be sworn in as the next governor of Ogun state on May 29 reportedlyrequested Osoba for ideas on how to make Ogun state better during the engagement.

‘’But Osoba told him that, that is not the way to go about it. Aremo told the incoming governor that he (Abiodun) should the one sharing his ideas and dream on how to change the state with his supporters and team and not the other way round. Osoba told Abiodun to take charge with a clear cut vision for his people to support’’ societynow.ng learned.

This development is against the background that Abiodun just received the consolidated report of the Economic Transition Work Groups he set up ahead of his swearing-in on May 29, 2019.

Added to the mix is the fact that Abiodun won the Ogun state gubernatorial election on the foundation of support from political groups of diverse and conflicting interests.
