Supremacy War Over?… Ooni Ogunwusi, Olugbo Akinruntan To Make Joint Public Appearance

Details available to societynow.ng revealed that Ooni of Ife Adeyeye Ogunwusi and Olugbo of Igbo, Obateru Akinruntan are set to make a joint public appearance.

This comes amid claims by Oba Obateru that his throne is superior to that of the Ooni against widely held convictions and historical stipulations.

Two monarchs – through their aides – had engaged in verbal assaults over the development until recently.

Societynow.ng learned that against this background, Ooni and Olugbo are scheduled to take part in this year’s edition of the National Convention & Conference of Traditional Rulers (in Yoruba land).

The event which is the brainchild of Heritage Forum is scheduled to hold in Oyo state between November 27 and 29.

This makes the Alaafin of Oyo, Oba Lamidi Adeyemi the chief Host of a sort societynow.ng learned.

Societynow.ng gathered that over 200 traditional rulers have agreed to attend including the Ooni and Olugbo.

Insiders disclosed each of the monarchs know the other would attend.

Added revelation available to societynow.ng has it that one of the items on the list of agenda for this year’s edition of the convention, aimed at fostering unity among Yoruba traditional rulers, is to put to bed the Ooni and Olugbo controversy.
