Tongues are wagging in Osun state.

And the subject of interest is the refusal to Governor Gboyega Oyetola to move into his official residence.

Oyetola was sworn in as Governor of Osun state last year – November 27, 2018, after serving as the Chief of Staff to immediate past Governor Rauf Aregbesola for a two-term of 8years.

And few days shy of his first anniversary in office as Governor, Oyetola still lives in the abode he used as chief of staff to Aregbesola.

‘’The talks are that this is beyond the ordinary’’ societynow.ng learned.

Information sourced by societynow.ng on highstreet.ng revealed that the initial narrative was that Oyetola wanted to ‘’renovate’’ the Osun state Government House – official residence as governor –situated in Government Reserved Area, Osogbo before he moved.

Oyetola – and his family- has stayed put in the residence meant for the Chief of Staff while the Government is locked up for no ‘’special reasons’’.

Societynow.ng learned Governor Oyetola shuttles between the official residence of the Chief of Staff and his private house in Iragbiji – not far from Osogbo- at present.

‘’Because Oyetola served as Aregbesola’s closest aide for 8years (chief of staff) his refusal to move into the official residence vacated by the immediate past governor has piqued a lot of interests and sparked of talks of beyond the ordinary’’ societynow.ng learned.

Those close to the Governor, however, insist on the ‘’need for ‘’proper renovation’’ narrative.
