Bola Shagaya now sports a new look.

A look that signposts the 60th birthday of the woman who built wealth out of good business sense and better networking skills.

To her good fortune – without taking away credit for hard her hard work – Shagaya forged extraordinary friendships with four reigning First Ladies, Maryam Babangida, Stella Obasanjo, Turai Yar’ adua and Dame Patience Goodluck in manners that have enhanced the narrative of her story.

Shagaya’s rapport with Dame Patience is believed to be the most outstanding.

It transformed Shagaya – temporarily – into a major political force in Kwara state.

But for the rash of unfavorable reports – and need for quick denial – Shagaya’s networking skills might have kept her in good stead in the current administration.

The celebrity businesswoman with a private jet, a fleet of exotic cars and properties home and abroad to her name withdrew into her shell with the advent of the Buhari administration.

She suffered investigation for alleged corruption and seizure of her money over this and that allegation as the new government scrutinizes the conduct of the past administration.

Shagaya became a person of interest because of extraordinary closeness to immediate past First Lady Dame Patience, who is fighting strong accusations of ‘’unexplainable funds’’.

But billionaire Shagaya who is said to possess a tidy collection of diamonds and exotic gems has maintained her cool, preferring to challenge allegations against her in the court of law.

She has also shunned the party circuit, except when her son, Seun got married Vice President Osinbajo’s daughter Damilola last year – March 2018.

But for her 60th birthday (Today, October 10), Shagaya intends to come out of her cocoon and celebrate.

Societynow.ng learned that a 60th birthday celebration, with those that matter to her invited, is scheduled for this weekend, Sunday, October 13 at Eko Hotel, Lagos state.
