Sifax Boss Appointed Consul, Republic Of Djibouti!
Mr Taiwo Afolabi, a major stakeholder in the nation’s maritime sector just recorded another achievement.
The astute businessman who recently spread his business tentacles into the downstream sector of the oil and gas business has been presented with the Exequatur as the Hon. Consul, Republic of Djibouti.
The happenstance came to be on July, 01 2010.
Dr. Afolabi’s tremendous contributions in the business sector and more importantly, his efforts to the development of co-operation between Nigeria and the Republic of Djibouti was cited as reason for this honour.
He was appointed the Honorary consul of the Republic of Djibouti with jurisdiction over the whole territory of the Federal Republic of Nigeria and full power and authority by His Excellency, Ismail Omah Geulleh, President of the Republic of Djibouti.
Sources revealed on Thursday, September 6, 2012 at the ministry of Foreign Affairs, Abuja the holder of national honour Member of The Order of Niger (MON) was presented with the Exequatur by the Honourable Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Olugbenga Ashiru.
In attendance were members of the diplomatic corps from the foreign affairs ministry, which include the spokes person of the ministry, Mr. Ode; chief of protocol, Amb. A. Gwari and Deputy Chief of Protocol, Mr. H.T Balogun.
Also, in attendance were Dr. Fola Rogers-Saliu, The Secretary General to the Hon. Consul, Barr. Kayode Filani, Legal Consultant and Mr. Yusuf Yaro, Personal Assistant to the Hon. Consul.
