Banker, Achuzie Ezenagu Quits UBA For New Challenges

Banker, Achuzie Ezenagu has quitted financial institution, United Bank for Africa.

He left to embrace something personal and conquer new terrain sources confirmed.

The keeper of people’s treasure that joined the bank in 2002- left on a high note.

He achieved over 100% of all his set targets as the branch manager of Adeyemo Alakija branch.

Prior to this as the ‘the CEO of Leo Aviation Services (an appointment he got in 2007) he pioneered the transition of the corporate aviation sector- where had a great relationship with the entire executive management and board of the bank.

His performance as Group Head of Group Logistics for the entire bank and Chairman of the UBA Post Merger Branding committee reportedly paved way for the Leo Aviation Services appointment.

Described as an invaluable resource person by friends and colleagues- Achuzie was at a point said to be ‘personally responsible for the efficient and effective management of the Executive Office of Tony Elumelu when the latter was the Group MD’

Labelled ‘a keenly devoted employee who was quick to imbibe Elumelu’s ethos of hard work and discipline’ – in announcing his resignation from U.B.A, Achuzie thanked Mr. Elumelu and all his past bosses including but not limited to Mr. Phillips Oduoza, Mr. Kennedy Uzoka, Mr. Emmanuel Nnorom, Mrs. Tomi Somefun and Mrs. Pamela Shodipo.

He also encouraged colleagues with the words ‘To all the young graduates and employees who aspire and work for the betterment of corporate Nigeria, and who personally sacrifice for the good of the banking industry:

“we should never celebrate efforts, we should all strive to celebrate results”

It is believed the man who ‘encouraged and inspired his colleagues with his zeal for perfection and positive work ethic’ will be missed by all and sundry at the bank.
