Senator Solomon Adeola Yayi Opens “The Vault” Goes After Gov Ibikunle Amosun’s Key Men With Mega Money, Material Gifts To Woo Them To His Side

Information filtering in have it that, Senator Olamikan Solomon popularly known as Yayi has taken his destiny in his hands regarding the gubernatorial ambition.

The Senator representing Lagos state is engaged in underground campaign to become the next governor of Ogun state.

But he is said to have passionate opposition from fellow party man and incumbent state head man, Ibikunle Amosun to contend with.

Both Amosun and Solomon belong to the political party in charge of the federal government, All Progressives Congress.

But the sitting governor is said to be keen on installing a candidate of choice.
Aside this insiders disclose his opposition to Yayi’s ambition also has to do with raging rift with Senator’s main backer – Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

”Amosun has vowed to do all possible to ensure Tinubu does not install any of his minions as his successor” a source stated.

And the Governor is said to have a vice grip on the APC structure in the state.

Further digs revealed Tinubu’s backing as a baggage to Yayi’s ambition extends beyond Governor Amosun in the state.

Former President Obasanjo is said to be against the ambition of the Senator as a result of linkage to the APC political leader.

Yayi is said to face the same opposition in other quarters amongst the ”old guard” in Ogun state.

Fresh information however have it Senator Yayi has decided to take his destiny in his hands and go after the people that make up the ”influences and clouts” of Governor Ibikunle Amosun.

And in doing this limit the weight of endorsements from the Obasanjos.

He is said to have deploy his major strength- money – to woo them over.

Insiders disclose Yayi and his handlers currently target perceived people of influence, and those that can be upgraded to position of influence, within and outside the Ogun APC considered to be ”suffering” under the current administration.

And insiders disclosed to societynowng.com that there appear to be a litany of these individuals.

Governor Amosun is considered not ”party friendly” by chieftains of his political platform and very limited in his generosity by others within the state sources claim.

”Yayi and his crew are quietly lobbying these people to their sides with material and monetary gifts” an insider disclosed.

”They have opened the vault” another source stated.
Amongst other things, they are working on weakening the governor’s hold on the APC structure in preparation for a dare devil takeover when the time comes a source provided insight.

Also said to be prime targets of this overtures from the Senator and his handlers are the newly elected council bosses.

”They are disgruntled and are being seriously worked on” a source stated.

Added revelations have it that about half are being considered favourable disposed to the other side.
Those who should know equally revealed all the targeted Amosun men are being told to keep involvement with the Yayi group as quiet as possible.

”They want to build a fierce underground force that can not be matched when it springs to action…the plot is to take Amosun by surprise with the kind of clout they would have amassed ahead when the time comes for party to determine gubernatorial candidate” a source stated.

Away from the party, the Yayi crew are said to be passionately working on securing the sympathy of other stakeholders in the state – including attempting making inroads into the base of rival political party, PDP.

”They appear very serious with this gubernatorial ambition…what is however not clear is how serious those against them are at stopping them” an insider asserts.
