Senator Odebiyi Unable To Break “Curse” Of Ogun West

All things being equal, Senator Tolu Odebiyi has towed the path of his predecessors.

The Senator representing Ogun West has failed to break what is dubbed the “curse” of his senatorial district if the situation at hand stands.

And despite Odebiyi’s attempts to break the jinx, another person Solomon Olamilekan Adeola holds his party, the All Progressives Congress (APC) ticket for Ogun West Senatorial district.

All the names of candidates for 2023 Ogun West senatorial election have been affirmed by the Independent Electoral Commission (INEC) and Odebiyi is not on the list.

Adeola better known as Yayi is the Senator representing Lagos West but picked Ogun West Senatorial ticket during the APC recent primary election on the back of years of intense campaign dubbed West2West in its latter days information available to SocietyNow.Ng revealed.

Yayi’s picking the senatorial ticket was made easier by the division in the Ogun state APC that saw the faction he aligns with recognized by the national executive council of the APC with Odebiyi and the group he supports left in limbo.

Though there are talks that Odebiyi intends to challenge the legitimacy of Adeola’s candidacy, counter-narrative claims his ambition will be sacrificed on the altar of the higher good of a “political solution” that will appease the leader of his group – former Governor Ibikunle Amosun.
