RCCG Leaders In Special Prayer Sessions For Vice President Yemi Osinbajo As He Takes On More Responsibilities As Acting President

Inside details have it, the leadership of Christian ministry – Redeemed Christian Church of God are holding special prayer sessions for Vice President Yemi Osinbajo.

Yemi Osinbajo, a pastor with the ministry headed by General Overseer Enoch Adejare Adeboye is now the nation’s acting president.

He assumed the position after President Muhammadu Buhari travelled out of the country on Thursday January 19 2017, and remains unseen in the midst of speculations of ill health.

The president transferred power to vice president Yemi Osinbajo when he travelled out and extended it via another communication to the National Assembly that prolonged his own trip out of the country on February 05 2017.

The ongoing special prayer sessions by the leadership of the Redeemed Christian ministry is said to be aimed at ‘’safeguarding’’ the Vice President as he takes on more ‘’responsibilities’’ as acting president.

‘’the prayers are for him to succeed in all he does  while in office in the interest of the nation’’ a source explained.

The move is however said to be kept within the cycle of leadership of the widespread ministry to avoid misinterpretation.

President Muhammadu Buhari’s prolonged absence, in the midst of speculations about his well being, has created a tensed political climate.

The ‘’Acting President’’ is doused with talks of battling forces against his own interest.

And the church does not want to be caught in the centre of all the political drama with open calls to members to pray for ‘’Pastor Osinbajo’’.

‘’that is why they have restricted the prayers to just the leaders of the church’’ a source explained.
